Brevian Building No-Code Platform for Companies to Build AI Agents

In an exciting leap forward for the world of business and artificial intelligence (AI), Sunnyvale-based startup Brevian is set to revolutionize the way enterprises operate. With the unveiling of its innovative no-code platform, Brevian aims to democratize the creation of custom AI agents, making cutting-edge technology accessible to business users without the need for extensive technical know-how.

At the heart of this groundbreaking venture are co-founders Vinay Wagh, CEO, and Ram Swaminathan, CTO, who bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives to the table. Wagh, with a rich background in product direction at Databricks and Bracket Computing, was inspired by the potential of AI in the enterprise sector, particularly after observing the advancements in generative AI technologies like ChatGPT. Swaminathan, on the other hand, offers a deep understanding of computer science and machine learning, honed over years of academic research and practical experience at prestigious institutions like Bell Labs and HP Labs, and more recently at LinkedIn, where he led the AI trust team.

Brevian’s mission is straightforward yet ambitious: to enable business users, especially those in support teams and security analysis, to build AI agents tailored to their specific needs. These AI agents are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing data and applications, understand and respond to queries, and automate repetitive tasks, all while ensuring the highest standards of security and privacy.

The need for such a platform has never been more critical, as concerns around data privacy and security have led many enterprises to approach AI adoption with caution. Brevian addresses these challenges head-on by incorporating built-in security features that prevent the leakage of personal information and guard against prompt injection attacks, among other threats. This focus on security, combined with the platform’s user-friendly design and customization options, positions Brevian as a pioneer in facilitating safe and effective enterprise AI solutions.

Supporting Brevian’s vision is a substantial $9 million seed funding round led by Felicis Ventures, underscoring the industry’s confidence in the startup’s potential to lead the charge in the AI application space. According to Jake Storm, a partner at Felicis Ventures, the investment reflects a broader shift towards AI-driven applications, with Brevian at the forefront of this transformation.

As Brevian steps out of stealth mode and into the limelight, the company is poised to make a significant impact on the enterprise landscape. With plans to expand its offerings beyond support and security to encompass a wide range of business functions, Brevian is not just creating AI agents; it’s building a future where technology empowers businesses to achieve new heights of efficiency and innovation.
